Wild Edgewalker

Take a walk on the wild side, with Amanda, Intuitive Nature & Forest Therapy Guide.

Join her on a sensory immersion in nature - seeking the wild even in urban spaces.

Forest Therapy combines leisurely walks on gentle paths in woodlands and forests, as well as more urban settings like parks and botanical gardens, with guided activities to help you open your senses, hone your intuition and experience the forest as you never have before. Within a few hours, we go deep into a direct experience with nature, dropping into the peace and aliveness of nature, settling and awakening our awareness of our surroundings in the moment.

Inspired by Shinrin-Yoku, Japanese Forest Bathing, informed by ANFT and the ‘standard sequence’, Amanda guides intuitively, with a heart-centred approach, connecting with the deep feminine in nature - interconnected, through felt-sense and experience of the mystery.

Walking in nature solo has been a richly rewarding, nourishing and resourcing practice for me for many years. It has enabled me to journey through challenging times and gifted me with uplifting moments of awe and wonder - with some phenomenal experiences along the way.

I’ve always loved the outdoors, climbing trees, scrambling over rocks, and following wild paths ever since I can remember. Often leaving the path altogether, following my instincts and my feet!

As I deepen into the path of recovery from long-term ME/CFS, I am constantly reminded to slow down! It’s an art - embracing slowing down, contrary to our frenetic, urban lifestyles.

However, I have come to believe it’s vital to our sense of self, of earth connection and belonging.

The practice of Forest Therapy for me deeply acknowledges the wisdom of the earth, our indigeneity, our nature connectedness. So, after 7 years of guiding walks in various guises, I am stepping into my own distinct way of practice.

This is in a state of emergence, and will encompass mindfulness in nature, somatic embodiment practice attuning to our surroundings, sensory immersion, foraging and getting to know the plant realms intuitively through communication, meeting the trees, connecting with the mycelial networks, the more-than-human world, the mystery, and reclaiming a sense of belonging, as well as community.

Forest Therapy walks and walks discovering the local terrain and hidden places for individuals and groups available year-round, in place and remotely.
